The best long term relationship you could have in your life is one with God.
If you are visiting my page and you are not a Christian, or maybe you are and you feel you would like to rededicate your life as I have, I urge and encourage you to do so.
There are a few things you should do:
1. Acknowledge that you are a sinner.
Romans 3:23 For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.
2. Believe in your heart that Jesus died for your sins.
Romans 5:8 But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believe in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.
3. Give God control of your life.
Mark 8:35 For whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me and for the gospel will save it.
4. Once you have considered and accepted these things - pray.
"Lord, I know that I am a sinner and while I do not deserve it, I know you died and rose from the grave for me. Lord I accept you as my savior and give total control of my life to you."
It can be as simple as this, long winded, even more simple. Just pray. Let Jesus know that you accept Him as your personal savior.
Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
